Summary
Boneyard beach in the South Carolina "Sea Islands"
Boneyard beach in the South Carolina "Sea Islands" shows the aftermath of the 2016 Atlantic hurricane,  Matthew, a category 5 which first destroyed parts of  Haiti and throughout the Caribbean islands before reaching southern United States.  The  trees, oak and pine,  which formed the barrier between the sea, beach and forest were ravaged by the winds with one landing upright where it stands majestically in the ocean.  The boneyard beach is a sea of natural tree sculptures and evidence of the power of nature to create and transform the land and sea scape.

The photos are part of a project on Grief as a human reality and natural process of life and death.
