Gertrud Graf, Omas Gegen Rechts, Berlin.

The wonderful 67 year old Gertrud Graf of the Berlin chapter of Omas Gegen Rechts-Grannies against the Right. Photographed near her home in Kreuzberg, Berlin. OGR first came to fruition in Vienna in Austria as a reaction to the formation of the Rigfht wing ÖVP-FPÖ government in Austria. A Statement from the original Omas; "The 'Grannies against the Right' came from an emotion, but we are against it," against "contempt for human beings, fascism, racism," explained founder Monika Salzer. "We do not go to the streets for our interests or our pension, but for future generations." I‘ve been working on this project on Omas Gegen Rechts for the last couple of months and will probably end it on May Day this year where the German Grannies including Berlin intend to congregate at a demonstration against the Far Right in Erfurt. #omasgegenrechts #berlin #kreuzberg #antifascist #germany
