Desert Dingo Racing is a team that participates in off-road desert races with their slightly-modified 1969 VW Beetle. They are a group of old school Burning Man regulars with more than one PhD on the team, plus a crusty old hippie who's been building race cars since the 70's. I was fortunate to catch up with them in Las Vegas at the Mint 400 as they wrenched, signed autographs, talked passionately about their love of racing and unity as a team, and ultimately took off along with hundreds of other off-road vehicles into the dusty Nevada desert.
