To Be At War, a Community Project
Through photography workshops for military spouses and children in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and through the examination of personal archives submitted by members of the military community, this project explores the social impact of war on this community and gives an inside look into the personal lives of military families. The hope is to use this project as a platform to help bridge the growing divide between military and civilian populations. The work from the workshops was exhibited at a public photography exhibition a local park in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Lead support provided by We Women, the largest social impact photo-based art project by women currently underway in the U.S. Additional support provided by the National Military Family Association.
