BR-116, also known as Rio-Bahia, is a federal route of highways of Brazil. It is also the longest highway in the country to be completely paved. It is considered one of the most important highways in the country, along with BR-101.
On the way to Vitória da Conquista, Bahia at BR-116, also known as Rio-Bahia, is a federal route of highways of Brazil. The second longest highway in Brazil, its 4,490 kilometers, connects Fortaleza, Ceará, one of the largest Northeast Brazil metropolises, to the southern city of Jaguarão, Rio Grande do Sul, on the border with Uruguay. It is also the longest highway in the country to be completely paved. It is considered one of the most important highways in the country, along with BR-101.
BR-251, officially Rodovia Júlio Garcia, is a Brazilian transversal highway.

It extends from the state of Bahia to the state of Mato Grosso. Its total length is approximately 1515.2 km. In general, it presents conservation problems in several stretches. It is the only transversal highway that cuts through the Federal District.

BR 251 still has many unpaved or non-implemented sections, mainly in the state of Mato Grosso.

The stretches already implemented, and most used, of the BR 251 are the ones that connect Montes Claros to the BR 116 (Rio-Bahia), and the one that connects Unaí to the Federal District.
