Visura is delighted to announce the first 16 recipients of the Open Call for Black Women Photographers

The open call is an ongoing opportunity for up to 30 freelance visual journalists & professional photographers a year, who are members of Black Women Photographers to each receive a Visura Lifetime Plus membership to build one personal website connected to a global market network under the Black Women Photographers V-page.

This in-kind sponsorship, valued at a total of $15,000, aims to support members of Black Women Photographers, who are visual journalists, photographers, photojournalists, storytellers, multimedia journalists, fine artists, filmmakers, and journalists who want to strengthen their web presence with a portfolio website that is also interconnected to a global market network. Photographers working on stories but not limited to climate change, environmental justice, gender equality, racial justice, and human rights will be considered too. This opportunity is for photographers who focus on visual journalism, portraiture, documentary, photojournalism, stills, creativity, fine art, videos, and short film.

Our goal is to sponsor up to 30 members with Lifetime Plus accounts in 2022. The recipients of the sponsorship will build their website using the Visura site builder, and connect with a global market network. Visura founder Adriana Teresa is volunteering her time to meet with each of the recipients for a 20-minute one-on-one consultation and website design review.

This sponsorship is possible thanks to Visura & Robertson Realty's donation to IWMF.
