English Version

This year, even more than the others, the number of people ready of risking their lives to run away from their country and come to ask for asylum in Europe, incredibly increased. Civil war, poverty, persecution, slavery, or political repression, various reasons, each one more acceptable than the next.

Facing this wave, Europe with great difficulty tries to solve the problem with laws not always easy to apply to 28 countries. At the end of 2013 more than 350 000 asylum seekers on 435 000 already waited for the acceptance of their requests.

Germany has by far the largest number of requests, more than 120 000, compared to France - a little more than 60 000 or Italy - more than 30 000. Figures since then, always increasing.
