I'm a German photographer based in Singapore, focusing on editorial and documentary work.
My photographs and essays have appeared across international media publications such as The Daily Beast, CNN, Stern, Discovery Channel Magazine, The Diplomat, Sí¼ddeutsche Zeitung, Spiegel Online, Der Tagesspiegel, Berliner Zeitung, Stuttgarter Zeitung and La Vanguardia Magazine, amongst others.
I worked as an architect until 2010 before leaving the job to return to photography full-time. I graduated with a Master's Degree in architecture and urban design from the University of Stuttgart in 1999, focusing on a large scale urban development project in Hong Kong.
Over the past two and a half decades I have travelled extensively and visited more than 50 countries. I don't concentrate on current political affairs but focus on self-driven projects across Asia.
My images are currently distributed by SZ-Photo of Sí¼ddeutsche Zeitung, a Munich based agency.
