Benedict graduated from the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism where she studied photojournalism, anthropology, and political science. Prior to National Geographic, Mallory interned at NPR, with Lauren Greenfield and freelanced as a photojournalist. In her free time she enjoys biking, traveling, and reading.
