Although the color tones of the photographs are different, the images, to me, strike a disturbing similarity.
5600+ miles apart, the Spanish wall at Melilla (L) and the southern United States border at El Paso (R), both built by so-called First World Nations to lock out the "other," offer an eye opening glimpse into the global connections of institutionalized power and those forced to bump up against its constructs.
