Ferran Garcia

I was born in La Seu d’Urgell, Lleida, Spain, in 1978. I am currently working as a correspondent for the Catalan News Agency (ACN) in Alt Urgell and La Cerdanya (Lleida, Spain) and Andorra.

During my over six years experience in communication, I have primarily worked as a photojournalist, photo editorand video producer. I started working as a correspondent for the local newspaper "Segre” in Lleida (Spain). In 2008, I moved to Mexico to work as a photo editor for the agency Latitudes Press for two years.

I published a photo story untitled "Méxic, impunitat endèmica complicitat tí cita" in "Capí§alera”, publication by the Union of Journalists in Catalonia. I also published two stories, "Life on the road" and "L'art de fugir de la droga", in the Catalan newspaper El Perií²dico de Catalunya.

I've worked in projects on the Saharawi refugee camps (2005) in Mauritania, Morocco and Sahara occupied (2006) and Mexico (2008), and other short-term projects in Serbia, Kosovo, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
