Ombra - Forma
"Ombra - Forma" ("Shadow - Shape" in Italian) is an autobiographical work and a research project.
“In a dark period I gave shape to my feeling, chasing shadows, trying to distill them, then letting them go by returning to set them as parts of an image and metaphors of life.”
An intimate journey where shadows and ephemeral forms paint surfaces in moments, opening doors to the imagination as in poetry.
Inner landscapes in a dreamlike dimension take shape from the images.
Shadows are related to the cyclical nature of life being projections of bodies and objects due to our movement around sunlight.
According to the author, the act of imprinting them on film is vital.
The film is developed, unveiled, and then projected onto photosensitive paper by printing the image to return to the reality of the moment.
In an essence it’s done so, to remember what had appeared in a dream so as not to make it disappear.

''Ombra – Forma'' è un lavoro autobiografico e di ricerca. “In un periodo oscuro ho dato forma al mio sentire, inseguendo le ombre nei loro movimenti ciclici, cercando di distillarle, per poi lasciarle andare tornando ad ambientarle come parti dell'immagine e metafore di vita''.
Ombre e forme effimere dipingono per istanti le superfici aprendo le porte all'immaginazione come nella poesia.
Dalle foto prendono forma paesaggi interiori in una dimensione onirica. Le ombre sono legate alla ciclicità della vita essendo proiezioni di corpi e oggetti dovuti al nostro movimento intorno alla luce del sole. Per l'autore l'atto di imprimerle sulla pellicola è necessario. Essa viene sviluppata, quindi svelata, per poi essere proiettata su carta fotosensibile stampando l'immagine per tornare alla realtà del momento, come per ricordarsi cos'era apparso in un sogno per non farlo scomparire.
