Chris Bartlett is a documentary human rights portrait photographer. His portraits of Iraqi former detainees first gained recognition as part of the Moving Walls 15 exhibition at the Open Society Foundation in New York. Most recently they were featured at Photoville 2014, Houston FotoFest International Discoveries V in February, 2015, and will be featured at the Hamburg Triennale in June, 2015. Chris was interviewed for this exhibition by BBC, NPR, Canadian Public Radio, Al Jazeera among many others. He recently completed a national advocacy campaign of portraits of military rape survivors for the NGO, Protect Our Defenders. He is currently working on a series of portraits of political dissidents and former political prisoners in Burma. 

Chris is also a still life photographer creating conceptual and issue oriented images in addition to working commercially in the fashion, beauty, and luxury goods industries. Chris has been published in virtually all the major fashion publications including Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. His commercial clients include Diane Von Furstenberg, Tory Burch, and Kate Spade.
