From there, I spent 10 years working as a staff photographer for daily papers in Oregon, Pennsylvania and New Mexico. Along the way I have earned a variety of awards including a Pulitzer Prize nomination, the Community Awareness Award from Pictures of the Year International, The Sony World Photography Award and the Golden Light Award for documentary photography. In 2012 I was awarded an Honorable Mention in the Deeper Perspective category of the International Photography Awards, and was a finalist in Critical Mass- Photo Lucida.
